The Israeli company Sightful has released an experimental batch of laptops without a physical screen, instead of it – augmented reality glasses.
Spacetop is positioned as a revolutionary portable device. It runs on Android, inside the Snapdragon 865 processor, 8 GB of RAM, a 256 GB hard drive. Communication with the outside world is provided by Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and two USB-C connectors. The most interesting thing is augmented reality glasses, in which the user sees a display with a diagonal of 254 cm with a resolution of 2K. The whole thing weighs a reasonable 1.5kg and measures 26 x 24 x 4cm (plus goggles).
The display is visible only to those who wear glasses, while he sees the surrounding space. At the same time, the gadget is not suitable for bespectacled people or people with poor eyesight. Other shortcomings should be revealed by experimental operation. Estimated price for the gadget is $2000.
